Abstract:
p53 is not only a tumor suppressor but also a transcription factor which involved in regulating different kinds of reaction. The expression of p53 is a kind of nucleoprotein which can activate or inhibit a variety of down-stream gene's transcription. Because of different kinds, states, environment of cells, and the state of p53 expression in cells, p53 participates in a variety of cellular pathways to regulate glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism, energy metabolism, even metabolic disease.
